Madison won against Coronado last Thursday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Warhawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Scripps Ranch Falcons a 2-0 shutout. This was payback for the Warhawks, who suffered a 6-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Colin Gallagher tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Leo Wilderman was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Madison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Scripps Ranch, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Madison has already played their next game, a 7-3 victory against Mira Mesa on the 5th. As for Scripps Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Point Loma on the 5th.
