The East Nicolaus Spartans lost against the Redding Christian Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between both teams wasn't particularly close, with East Nicolaus falling 59-43. They have not had much luck with Redding Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
East Nicolaus lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Makinze Massey, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Rylee Gillespie was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
It was another big night for Brooklyn Beasley, who scored 40 points for Redding Christian. The game was Beasley's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Goodman, who scored nine points.
East Nicolaus now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Redding Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
East Nicolaus and Biggs will face off at 5:40 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Biggs is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Redding Christian and Rio Linda will face off at 11:00 a.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Rio Linda focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
