The Calistoga Wildcats won the last time they faced the Tomales Braves, and things went their way on Friday too. Calistoga strolled past Tomales with points to spare, taking the game 38-19.
Calistoga found their leader in underclassman Italia Barrera, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Helen Vargas, who scored six points.
Calistoga is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Tomales, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Calistoga didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 35-34 victory vs. Grace Christian Academy on the 10th. Tomales does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
