It was a good run, but Providence Classical unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to Jackson Day 70-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (56), Providence Classical still had to take the loss.
Providence Classical's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xan Rahalawicz , who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Rahalawicz scored a full 35.9% of Providence Classical's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Martin, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Providence Classical's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2. As for Jackson Day, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
Providence Classical won't have much time to rest: their next match is against NorthPoint Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully NorthPoint Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Tuesday. Jackson Day won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Walnut Grove Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Walnut Grove Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
