The Silverado Hawks came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 59-50 win over Santa Margarita.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Silverado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elizabeth Udeze, who scored 22 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Udeze has scored at least 25% of Silverado's points. Another player making a difference was Belinda Rincon, who scored 16 points.
Silverado's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Santa Margarita, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Silverado will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Chino at 5:00 p.m. on December 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Chino is ranked 107th, while Silverado is ranked 126th). As for Santa Margarita, they will face off against Temple City at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Temple City will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
