Alvarado had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 51-43 win over the Sulphur Springs Wildcats on Friday. The victory was just business as usual for the Indians, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Demarcus Belton had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 34 receiving yards and one TD. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. KJ Jenkins was another key player, throwing for 210 yards and three TDs.

Alvarado's run defense was locked in: Sulphur Springs could only muster 3.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Logan Woolard for the heroic effort on defense: he. Alvarado's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.

Alvarado's defensive line didn't let Mason Cooper, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 4.5 sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Zyon Brown, Jorden Wright, and Woolard, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece. Another thorn in Sulphur Springs' side was Dj Clampitt, who made 16 total tackles.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deacon Carpenter, who picked up 192 receiving yards and four scores. Jamarion Jeffrey also helped out with an impressive 103 receiving yards.

Alvarado's record now sits at 11-0. As for Sulphur Springs, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.

Alvarado has already played their next matchup, a 64-13 win against Springtown on the 28th. Sulphur Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
