It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Erwin had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Huss Huskies 49-21. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Caden Ingle was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 408 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 53 yards and two scores. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Jah'Baree Tolbert was another key player, rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns.

Erwin didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Huss to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Kadarrion Brown for the heroic effort on defense: he. Erwin has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.6 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.6 in their last three games.

Erwin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jackson Davis and Brown. Davis also posted 123 receiving yards, which is notable because Erwin is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 2-6 otherwise. Brown got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Huss still got an impressive performance from Ethan Presley, who threw for 355 yards and a pair of TDs.

The win made it two in a row for Erwin and bumps their season record up to 4-7. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 27 points in those games. As for Huss, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Erwin will square off against South Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Red Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. Huss does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
