For the second straight game, Dacula will face off against Mountain View. The Falcons will take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dacula is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Mountain View hit Dacula with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons fell 10-5 to the Bears. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 3, 2025, but that streak is no more.
For Mountain View's part, Andrew Brech was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Brech has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other pitching news, Sam Betancourt looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has become a key player for Mountain View: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-6 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Sean Forbes was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Brady Clark also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Mountain View lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dacula didn't launched any.
Mountain View's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Dacula, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-7.
Dacula's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Falcons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Mountain View, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Dacula continue to outrun the ball?
