The Del Valle Cardinals''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 52-3 defeat at the hands of Dripping Springs. Del Valle has struggled against Dripping Springs recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Lian Grotelueschen threw for 73 yards on three of 14 attempts. Donovan Douglas was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards. On the ground, Kenelle Hodges rushed for 48 yards.
It was another big night for Jack Robert tyndall, who rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Robert tyndall's longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaceton Gotta, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Del Valle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Dripping Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Del Valle will head out on the road to face off against Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Austin is on a five-game streak of home losses, Del Valle a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Dripping Springs will take on Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anderson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
