On Thursday, Branham took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 64-33 win over Carlmont. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-22.
Branham got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Quinn Godfrey out in front who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Godfrey has scored at least 25% of Branham's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Sung, who scored 8 points along with 11 assists and 6 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Branham and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Carlmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Lynbrook the next time they take the court. Carlmont will head out to face Lynbrook on Friday, while Branham will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
