The Coastal Academy Stingrays scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by King-Chavez Community on the road to the tune of 49-4. That looming 49-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Coastal Academy yet this season.
Heiress Afalava was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of London Afalava, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Coastal Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for King-Chavez Community, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coastal Academy will take on Foothills Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. King-Chavez Community will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monarch at 3:45 p.m. on January 23rd.
