It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rome ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the New Manchester Jaguar by a score of 13-10. With that victory, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Rome got a massive performance out of Jackson Slatky, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. What's more, Slatky posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Kaleb Creamer also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Rome was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .425. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Rome's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for New Manchester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Rome will have a chance to go back-to-back against New Manchester: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
