North is 7-2 against Mary Star of the Sea since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Saxons will host the Stars at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, North turned things around against Peninsula on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 1-0 shutout.

Not much got past Justin Olivar, who gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Peninsula off the board. Olivar has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nicky Gonzalez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Mary Star of the Sea brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy with a sharp 13-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Stars, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Mathias Reynolds was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Riley Vuoso was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Mary Star of the Sea was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy only posted a batting average of .278.
North's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.
North was able to grind out a solid victory over Mary Star of the Sea in their previous meeting back in February, winning 12-7. Do the Saxons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
