Mt. Abraham is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Enosburg Falls is on a four-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will host the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Saturday, Mt. Abraham made easy work of Milton and carried off a 14-2 victory.

Calvin Peck made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Peck was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Mt. Abraham let Stefan Johnson and Abe Ready run wild. Johnson went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Ready went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Evan Corrigan was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Mt. Abraham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Enosburg Falls got the win against Bellows Free Academy on Monday by a conclusive 11-1.
Enosburg Falls' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Mt. Abraham, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1.
Everything went Mt. Abraham's way against Enosburg Falls in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Mt. Abraham made off with a 14-4 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
