Linn extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 7-2. They blew past the Russellville Indians 12-5. Considering the Wildcats have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Ava Warren spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kenzy Hackmann, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-5. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Voss, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Linn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
As for Russellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. They haven't had much luck with Linn recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
On Russellville's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: K'Lea Basnett gave up four earned (and eight unearned) runs on 12 hits.
On the hitting side, Ava Beckel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season.
Linn has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Montgomery County on the 12th. As for Russellville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Harrisburg on the 15th.
