Catoosa came into Thursday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Afton Eagles 16-7 on Thursday. The Indians' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Catoosa's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Afton, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Afton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-3 loss against Chouteau-Mazie on the 21st. Hopefully Catoosa paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
