Hoover is 0-10 against Crescenta Valley since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hoover Tornados will head out on the road to face off against the Crescenta Valley Falcons at 6:45 p.m. Hoover is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Last Thursday, Hoover took a serious blow against Pasadena, falling 57-20. While losing is never fun, Hoover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1142nd, while Pasadena is ranked 463rd).
Iren Musayelyan was Hoover's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Meanwhile, even though Calabasas scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Crescenta Valley still came out on top. Crescenta Valley strolled past Calabasas with points to spare, taking the game 76-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Crescenta Valley.
The losses dropped Hoover to 1-6 and Pasadena to 5-3.
Hoover took a serious blow against Crescenta Valley in their previous matchup back in January, falling 58-3. Can Hoover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
