The Design Tech Dragons will venture away from home to take on the Mills Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Design Tech barely beat Summit Shasta the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons put the hurt on the Black Bears with a sharp 12-6 win on Friday. Considering the Dragons have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aidan Tom made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Tom was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. Design Tech is 8-1 when Tom posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddox Hom, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Isaac Gradek, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Design Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summit Shasta only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mills). They skirted past El Camino 15-14. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Jeremiah Reyes and Nick Lafon did most of the damage at the plate: Reyes went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Lafon went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave Reyes a new career-high. Matt Juul was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs.
Design Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Mills, their record now sits at 9-10.
Mills' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Design Tech has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .494. It's a different story for Mills, though, as they've only averaged .339.
