The result came thanks to Josh Jannicelli's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavin Colombo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Cardinal Newman pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
