It was a good run, but the West Shores Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They suffered a rough 40-16 defeat at the hands of Hamilton. West Shores lost against Hamilton in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-17 score last time.
Loss or not, West Shores got some senior leadership from Anastacia Garth who scored 7 points and Abigail Torres who scored 5 points.
West Shores bumped their record down to 5-2 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Hamilton, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Shores will take on Desert Mirage at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Mirage is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Hamilton will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Borrego Springs at 4:00 p.m. on December 12th. Borrego Springs comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
