For the first time this season, Pepperell will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will be playing at home against the Bremen Blue Devils at 5:45 p.m. Pepperell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Pepperell barely beat Woodland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Pepperell's pitchers stepped up to hand Woodland a 13-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Dragons considering their one-run performance the match before.

Ayden Frazier was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.
In other batting news, JP Kilgo was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Madoc Garcia, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Bremen sidestepped Bowdon for a 7-6 win. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by just one run.
Cooper Mincey looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Aiden Price was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Conner Helton was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Pepperell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. The victory got Bremen back to even at 4-4.
Bremen's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pepperell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. It's a different story for Bremen, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain Pepperell's hitters?
Pepperell skirted past Bremen 4-2 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does Pepperell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bremen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
