Durham won against Marysville on Friday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Durham Trojans beat the Gridley Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Joden Hoglund tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Landon Lynch was excellent, going 1-for-5 with one home run. Ely Martinez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

The victory made it two in a row for Durham and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Durham will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Bragg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Gridley, they will square off against Winters at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
