Sage Creek's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gia Kiesling, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals. Kiesling is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Harmony Lawler, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Carlsbad's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Sage Creek, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlsbad will challenge Oceanside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Carlsbad is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Oceanside will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Sage Creek, they will square off against San Dieguito Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sage Creek is facing San Dieguito Academy at the right time seeing as San Dieguito Academy is stuck on a 11-game losing streak.
