Tokay lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Edison, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Vikings on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Conner Preap tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tokay let Zack Sanchez and Brock Sell run wild. Sanchez went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Sell went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Sanchez has become a key player for Tokay: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 10-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brody Steele, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Tokay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive contests.

Tokay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1.

Tokay didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-7 win against Stagg on the 28th. As for Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Bear Creek on the 28th.
