The Bucktail Bucks lost against Meadowbrook Christian back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bucktail fell 44-32 to Meadowbrook Christian. While losing is never fun, Bucktail can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 559th, while Meadowbrook Christian is ranked 123rd).
Meadowbrook Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madalyn Fasnacht, who scored 16 points along with six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fasnacht has scored at least a third of Meadowbrook Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Devlin, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Bucktail's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Meadowbrook Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bucktail the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Millville at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Meadowbrook Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Columbia County Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th.
