Bonner Springs kicked off their season on the road  on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt  a  47-7 defeat at the hands of the Spring Hill Broncos. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  34-7.
 Spring Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Maysen Dodson, who rushed for 36 yards and two  scores, and also picked up 58 receiving yards and one  TD.  Jordan Miller was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one  touchdown on only nine carries.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bonner Springs will  face off against  rival Eudora  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Spring Hill is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Tonganoxie  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
