Coast Union has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Valley Christian Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coast Union comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Coast Union escaped with a win against Shandon by the margin of a single free throw, 18-17. The victory was just what Coast Union needed coming off of a 51-5 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Valley Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coastal Christian. Valley Christian Academy has struggled against Coastal Christian recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Coast Union's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Valley Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Coast Union came up short against Valley Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 26-22. Can Coast Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
