Coalinga got themselves on the board against Tranquillity on Thursday, but Tranquillity never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Horned Toads, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Coalinga got a massive performance out of Cooper Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those hits marked the first that Wagner has got this season. Another player making a difference was Jacen Ojeda, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Coalinga always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tranquillity only posted an OBP of .250.

The win (which was Coalinga's third in a row) raised their record to 8-12. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tranquillity, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
