The Hamilton Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 44-30 to Las Plumas. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hamilton of the 43-41 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2021.
Hamilton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sheri Enneking, who scored 14 points, and Hanne Porter who scored 11 points.
Las Plumas found their leader in underclassman Ava Hepworth, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Hepworth also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylee Olivieri, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Las Plumas, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.
Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Central Valley at 10:30 a.m. on January 6th. Central Valley is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Las Plumas, they will face off against Quincy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
