Make it seven blowout wins for the Sierra Vista Dons this season. They blew past Workman 71-25 at home. Winning may never get old, but Sierra Vista sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Sierra Vista was led to victory by Cailei Buna and Zaira Eulloque. Buna scored 24 points along with nine assists and six rebounds, while Eulloque scored 24 points along with nine steals and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Eulloque has scored at least a third of Sierra Vista's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Winlock, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Sierra Vista has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Workman, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Vista will stay at home for another game and welcome Duarte at 4:45 p.m. on January 29th. Duarte and Sierra Vista are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Workman, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Nogales at 5:30 p.m.
