Despite the loss, Carson still got an impressive performance from Madison Wheeler, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Monica Hayden, who scored 4 points along with 10 rebounds.
Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Fountain Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carson will face off against Wilson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fountain Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakewood at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Lakewood will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
