The Dublin Gaels will face off against the Livermore Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Dublin 1.6, Livermore 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Livermore will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Dublin extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday. The Gaels came out on top against Alhambra by a score of 7-3. That's two games straight that the Gaels have won by exactly four runs.
Matthew Phelps made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other pitching news, Dalton Doyle tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
Back at the plate, Dublin let Brendan Moddelmog and Brandt Nunemacher run wild. Moddelmog scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Nunemacher scored a run while going 1-for-4. What's more, Moddelmog posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Evan Salvador was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Livermore unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against Foothill, falling 13-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cowboys, who until this match were averaging 3.53 runs allowed.
Livermore saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Ford, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Another was Griffin Lee, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Livermore's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Dublin, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
Dublin skirted past Livermore 4-2 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Gaels repeat their success, or do the Cowboys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
