The Neumann-Goretti Saints scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past St. Hubert Catholic for Girls 79-41 on the road. The result was nothing new for Neumann-Goretti, who have now won five matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
Amya Scott was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight steals and six assists. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reginna Baker , who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
The win (which was Neumann-Goretti's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for St. Hubert Catholic for Girls, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Neumann-Goretti will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 3:45 p.m. on January 13th. St. Thomas Aquinas has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 334 points over their last five matchups. As for St. Hubert Catholic for Girls, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Catholic at 7:00 p.m.
