Baseball Recap: Chavez Wins Going Away Against Kern Valley

Chavez extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Kern Valley. They blew past the Broncs 10-0. Considering the Titans have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jayden Popoy was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Carrillo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Chavez pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kern Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Coming up, Chavez will challenge Corcoran at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. Kern Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
