The Manteca Buffaloes waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They walked away with  a   42-33  win over Central Catholic. Given Manteca's advantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 148th, while Central Catholic is ranked 760th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manteca to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Izabella Sanchez, who  scored 11 points along with eight  rebounds and four  steals. Another player making a difference was  Jada Ikharo, who  scored nine points along with nine  rebounds and three  steals.
 Manteca is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Central Catholic, they are  on a six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-13.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manteca will  face off against East Union at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. East Union is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Manteca a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Kimball at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
