Lincoln East never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past the Norfolk Panthers 8-0. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by eight runs or more this season.
Lincoln East got a great performance from Ella Pinkelman as she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Pinkelman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Nevaeh Coleman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucy Barrett, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Lincoln East's record now sits at 18-13. As for Norfolk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-20.
