Softball Recap: Pawhuska Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pawhuska entered their tilt with Woodland on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 15-3 victory. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Preslee Long made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Long was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August.

In other batting news, Emillie Curry was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Drummond, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Pawhuska kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matchups.

Pawhuska's record is now 15-8. As for Woodland, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-19-1.

Pawhuska didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-0 win against Nowata on the 17th. As for Woodland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Barnsdall on the 18th.
