Rosamond is 2-8 against Bishop Union since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Roadrunners will face off against the Broncos at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rosamond will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Frazier Mountain on Tuesday. The Roadrunners put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 19-7 victory. The Roadrunners' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Ayden Katuszonek made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Katuszonek was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

Bishop Union came out on top against Mammoth on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Broncos never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Broncos as they're now sitting on three straight.
Elliot Douda was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rosamond has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bishop Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rosamond came up short against Bishop Union when the teams last played on April 1st, falling 8-3. Can the Roadrunners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
