The St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots will head out on the road to challenge the Arroyo Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for St. Joseph Notre Dame and three for the Dons.
Last Friday, St. Joseph Notre Dame suffered a tough 41-21 loss at the hands of the Monarchs. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Joseph Notre Dame has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Arroyo was beaten by the Wildcats 69-27 on Saturday. Arroyo has struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Corrine Tucker, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season.
St. Joseph Notre Dame's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Arroyo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-18.
St. Joseph Notre Dame came up short against the Dons when the teams last played back in January, falling 69-65. Can St. Joseph Notre Dame avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
