The Oceanside Pirates can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  match  on Friday. They blew past Sage Creek 54-30. Winning may never get old, but Oceanside sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Oceanside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Martina Griffin led the charge by  scoring 20 points along with five  assists and five  rebounds. Griffin has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last 15 times she's  played.  Nalia Nuanez was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with four  steals.
 Loss or not, Sage Creek got some senior leadership from  Harmony Lawler who  scored eight points along with 13  rebounds and four  blocks and  Gia Kiesling who  scored four points along with nine  rebounds and six  steals. Lawler is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: she's  posted at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season.
 Oceanside's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Sage Creek,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 12-5.
 Oceanside won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Mater Dei Catholic at 7:30  p.m.  on January 13th. Hopefully Mater Dei Catholic focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 22 last Tuesday. As for Sage Creek, they will be playing at home against Torrey Pines at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Torrey Pines is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
