The Chapin Huskies had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 49 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over Burges. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Chapin had established a 22 point advantage.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daveon Singleton, who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 72 receiving yards. Carey Wade and his 154 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Chapin's win.
Chapin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Burges, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Chapin will be playing at home against Canutillo at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory. As for Burges, they will head out on the road to face off against El Paso at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th.
