If the Cambridge Springs Devils were feeling good off their 60-31 takedown of the Meadville Bulldogs on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cambridge Springs took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Slippery Rock on Thursday.
Leading Slippery Rock to victory were CJ Sabo and Madison Romanovich. Sabo scored 21 points along with 3 steals, while Romanovich dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sabo has scored at least 25% of Slippery Rock's points.
Cambridge Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Slippery Rock, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge Springs will face off against Commodore Perry at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Commodore Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Tuesday. As for Slippery Rock, they will head out on the road to face off against Reynolds at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
