It was a good run, but the San Dimas Saints unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crescenta Valley.
San Dimas' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janessa Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kamora Fletcher, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
San Dimas' defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Crescenta Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
San Dimas will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Diamond Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 431st, while the Saints are ranked 153rd). As for Crescenta Valley, they and the Bears will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Burroughs is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road.
