Stratford Academy extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping them up to 8-0. They blew past the Brentwood War Eagles 16-4. Considering the Eagles have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Brentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. They haven't had much luck with Stratford Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

For Brentwood's part, Nathan Diaz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stratford Academy will take on Pinewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brentwood, they will venture away from home to challenge Frederica Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
