Despite their loss, Foothill Tech saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Annabella Baum, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 boards, was perhaps the best of all. Baum is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Jocelyn Morales was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.
Santa Clara hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Hueneme by a score of 20-10 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Saints have won by exactly ten points.
Santa Clara picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Foothill Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
