The Brea Olinda Wildcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Pinole Valley Spartans at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Brea Olinda will be strutting in after a victory while Pinole Valley will be coming in after a loss.
On Wednesday, Brea Olinda escaped with a win against La Costa Canyon by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46. The victory was just what Brea Olinda needed coming off of a 63-43 loss in their prior game.
Brea Olinda's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liz Han led the charge by scoring 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Sanborn, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 75 points the game before, Pinole Valley were a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They took a 36-22 bruising from University. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pinole Valley has scored all season.
Brea Olinda's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Pinole Valley, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
