Volleyball Recap: Rouse's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rouse won the last time they faced Glenn and Mila Ornelas did her part to make sure it happened again. The Raiders put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday with plenty of help from Ornelas, who had 13 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Rouse was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-13, 25-22.

With the victory, Rouse broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 23-18. As for Glenn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 21 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-23 record this season.

Rouse and Glenn should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Raiders will square off against Lockhart at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (158 vs. 972). Meanwhile, Glenn (ranked 399th) will meet Lehman (ranked 1046th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
