Softball Recap: Citizens Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Vidalia Heritage Academy

Citizens Christian Academy came out on top against Vidalia Heritage Academy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run second inning. The Patriots blew past the Eagles 15-0. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Mattie Lewis was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Cadence Cravey also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Citizens Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .607. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Citizens Christian Academy's record is now 7-3. As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Citizens Christian Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Twiggs Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Vidalia Heritage Academy will challenge rival Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on September 2.
