Paloma Valley is 8-2 against Poly since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Bears at 3:15 p.m. Paloma Valley has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
King hit Paloma Valley with a nine-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against the Wolves, falling 14-8. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyatt Smith made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Braun, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Poly came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Huskies as they made off with a 10-1 win.
Danny Bedford looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Ben Solis was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Matt Henry, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Poly's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Paloma Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Paloma Valley skirted past Poly 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
