After a string of three wins, the El Camino Colts's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 35-27 to Westmoor. El Camino was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Westmoor apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, El Camino still got an impressive performance from Mariah Flores, who scored 14 points.
El Camino's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Westmoor, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
El Camino will head out on the road to take on Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Grace Wang and Flores. As for Westmoor, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Capuchino at 6:00 p.m. Capuchino will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 983rd, while Westmoor is ranked 437th).
